Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced on Monday during a gathering of air force personnel that on February 11th Iran was prepared to deliver a blow against the west that would be worse that September 11th. Khamenei was quoted as saying, “The Iranian nation, with its unity and God’s grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman, February 11, in a way that will leave them stunned.” The full article is here.
In what is like some perverse 12 days of Christmas, Iran has been making announcements each day in the lead up the the big anniversary day on 2/11. Stealth bombers, Uranium enrichment, unmanned attack drones.. robot warfare. Every day there is something new!
And it just gets more exciting as each day passes. What will they come up with next? From the religion that brings us ‘honor killings’; live burials of young girls for daring to speak with boys… okay, that’s unfair… in one recent case a father put a foot on his daughter’s throat until she died because she spoke with a soldier… I can’t wait to see what ‘punching the arrogance’ translates to in real terms.
Here’s a thought? How many nations have ships in the Persian Gulf at this exact moment? The flotilla of craft there to fight off Somalian Pirates in dinghies is impressive.
I read a report that suggests over twenty countries are represented. Is Pearl Harbor about to be re-enacted? Who knows?
When they say that 9/11 will look insignificant compared to what they have planned, well….?
